Mr. Oliver graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Professional Accountancy. Upon leaving UT, he worked for Peat Marwick, Mitchell & Co (now KPMG) in both Houston & Shreveport becoming a Tax Manager in June, 1977. He joined Roberts Cherry in that year and is now the Senior Tax Partner for the firm. He is a Registered Investment Advisor, holds a Life & Health Insurance license in both Louisiana and Texas and is a past President of the Ark-La-Tex Tax Institute.

During his career in public accounting, Oliver has focused on Healthcare and the Oil and Gas industries. He also has considerable expertise in tax and financial planning. He spearheads Wealth Advisors, Inc. a part of the Roberts Cherry Group dedicated to planning a financially secure future for both individuals and businesses.

Mr. Oliver is an active volunteer in the Shreveport community. He is an Advisory Board Member of Community Renewal International, the Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee of the Christus Schumpert Foundation, Treasurer and Executive Committee Board Member of the American Red Cross, Secretary and Board Member of the Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries Foundation and a former Board Chairman of the Salvation Army.

Along with his wife, Claudia, they are members of First Presbyterian Church in Shreveport where Oliver has served as, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Chairman of the Board of Deacons and a Ruling Elder.
